Mother Monster has been given a very high honor, she will grace the September Issue of Vogue.
As we all know from watching ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ in the world of fashion, getting the cover of Vogue’s September issue is like winning Gold at the Olympics. The September Issue is the mag’s highest selling issue of the year, with the most ads, last year featuring Kate Moss on the cover. Vogue has no doubt scored Gaga for the cover due to her superstar quality and her famous forward thinking fashion choices.
But this isn’t the first time Gaga has graced the cover of Vogue, she was seen on the March 2011 issue with a pink wig and no eyebrows. This time around, her cover story will reportedly feature her new perfume launch, the first fragrance for Mother Monster. New reports say the fragrance will be called ‘Fame’ appropriately, and will be a black liquid that will change color when applied to the skin. A sample photo of the bottle has been leaked online, but we’ll have to wait until August to see the real thing.
So what does will it smell like? Gaga has said that, “…Actually the perfume smells like an expensive hooker,” and she would incorporate her DNA into the scent with a blood sample so monsters could have “a sense of having me on your skin.” It seems Mother Monster truly wants to connect with her fans.
As for the cover photo, reports say that Louis Vuitton photogs Mert Alas and Markus Piggott have already shot Gaga for cover, and we can’t wait to see what groundbreaking look they’ve come up with!
