- Oscar de la Renta presented the season’s most decorative designs – covered in intricate jewels and gems.
- Although mules are most commonly closed-toe – and have been since their rise to popularity in the 18th Century – Rochas and Fendi both opted for open-toe designs for spring/summer 2012.
- Louis Vuitton matched its candy pastel collection to pointed mules with metallic straps and silver toes, while Miu Miu showed the style in everything from sumptuous red velvet to colour block satin and bright patent leather.
