We’ve got a sneak peek of Katy Perry’s new music video for ‘Wide Awake’!

A video teaser of Katy Perry’s new music vid for ‘Wide Awake’ has landed online, and we’re breaking it down. It’s a trip down nostalgia lane for Katy Perry, who may have taken some notes from pal Taylor Swift for this vid.

The fairytale-like music video teaser starts with images of rustling leaves in an enchanted forest, where at an ancient table, a young Katy flipping through the chapters of her life in a “storybook”. As the pages go by, we see in each Chapter the real Katy in her previous music videos, including ‘Teenage Dream,’ ‘Firework,’ and ‘E.T.’.

When the young Katy gets to the Final Chapter, she pops a peppermint candy in her mouth- the same one that Katy and tour crew tattooed on themselves, indicating ‘Wide Awake’ could be the final chapter in the book- or her final single from the Teenage Dream Collection. In the final chapter we see a “giant labyrinth”, a poison strawberry, a “curious cat”, and a Prince Charming. At the end of the teaser Katy remains a little girl, alluding that she never grew up possibly? We’ll have to wait for the full video to find out.

All you sleepyheads will be Wide Awake when the full length video drops on June 19 on Vevo and MTV! Check out the link to the teaser below, and leave us your comments! Are you excited or the full music vid?

Mother Monster has been given a very high honor, she will grace the September Issue of Vogue.

As we all know from watching ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ in the world of fashion, getting the cover of Vogue’s September issue is like winning Gold at the Olympics. The September Issue is the mag’s highest selling issue of the year, with the most ads, last year featuring Kate Moss on the cover. Vogue has no doubt scored Gaga for the cover due to her superstar quality and her famous forward thinking fashion choices.

But this isn’t the first time Gaga has graced the cover of Vogue, she was seen on the March 2011 issue with a pink wig and no eyebrows. This time around, her cover story will reportedly feature her new perfume launch, the first fragrance for Mother Monster. New reports say the fragrance will be called ‘Fame’ appropriately, and will be a black liquid that will change color when applied to the skin. A sample photo of the bottle has been leaked online, but we’ll have to wait until August to see the real thing.

So what does will it smell like? Gaga has said that, “…Actually the perfume smells like an expensive hooker,” and she would incorporate her DNA into the scent with a blood sample so monsters could have “a sense of having me on your skin.” It seems Mother Monster truly wants to connect with her fans.

As for the cover photo, reports say that Louis Vuitton photogs Mert Alas and Markus Piggott have already shot Gaga for cover, and we can’t wait to see what groundbreaking look they’ve come up with! And will it mirror the new fragrance ads? Only time will tell. Tell us what you think of Gaga earning this coveted cover shoot by leaving a comment below.

Mother Monster is one tough cookie- I’ll explain!

As you know, Lady Gaga is on her world ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour, and recently was seen in New Zealand playing three shows in Auckland. Things on the tour have been going well- if you don’t count the religious group protests and cancelled show, but now Lady Gaga has been struck on the head by a pole! While performing the last of her three shows in New Zealand, one of her backup dancers accidentally hit her in the head with a stage prop while removing it from the stage.

While being struck, Gaga is holding a mock machine gun and staggers a bit, and rubs her head before leaving the stage. Of course, Mother Monster is one tough woman, and she managed to finish the show no problem, completing an astounding 16 more songs. Gaga told the audience, “I want to apologize… I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion but don’t you worry I will finish the show.”

We found out after the show that Mother Monster had indeed suffered a concussion. Gaga’s makeup artist Tara Savelo confirmed via Twitter, “Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay. She wants u to know she loves u. I’m taking care of her. Can’t believe she finished the show.” We can’t believe it either! But that is Mother Monster for ya, never wanting to disappoint her Little Monster fans.

You can watch the unfortunate accident by clicking the link in the description. Let us know if you think Gaga should have continued the show or not?

Madonna unexpectedly covers Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ track at rehearsal, and it’s caught on tape!

During rehearsals for a concert in Israel, an onlooker caught Madonna performing a cover of Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ song mashed with Madonna’s classic ‘Express Yourself.’

If you recall, many feel ‘Born This Way’ is a rip-off of ‘Express Yourself,’ so either Madonna is officially showing Lady Gaga whose boss or just poking fun at the controversy. Madonna told ABC News earlier this year regarding ‘Born This Way’: “I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song. I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was… interesting.”

It’s no secret that Lady Gaga is influenced by Madonna, but did not take the rip-off accusations lightly, saying, “I’m a songwriter. I’ve written loads of music. Why would I try to put out a song and think I’m getting one over on everybody?” she told website NME last year.

We can’t wait to see what the fans think of the mashup when Madonna finally performs it. And will Mother Monster respond? Check out the mashup link in the description and let us know what you think! Be sure to subscribe to ClevverMusic for more breaking news. See ya!

Former American Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert, shows other Idols how’s it’s done!

Adam Lambert dropped his second studio album ‘Trespasing’ last week and it will debut next week on the Billboard 200 charts at #1! According to Nielsen SoundScan, Adam’s second album has sold 77,000 copies so far. He bumps fellow Idol, Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away” down to the No. 3 spot.

Mr. Lambert is the seventh American Idol alum to reach No. 1 on the charts, following Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, and Scotty McCreery.

Adam is certainly in good company and off to a great start with his ‘Trespassing’ album! Have you picked up Adam’s album? What do you think of it going to No. 1?

All Mother Monster wants to do is go shopping in Bangkok- for a rake rolex?

Lady Gaga has angered her Thai fans via a tweet she sent out to her 24 million Twitter followers. The tweet sparked an uproar in Thailand where fans are calling the tweet offensive, insulting and bad for the country’s image.

Lady Gaga posted to her Twitter shortly after her private jet arrived in Bangkok, “I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake rolex.” We’re not exactly sure what a “lady market” is, but we can see why some fans would take this the wrong way, seeing it as an insult rather than for Gaga’s excitement. We don’t think she meant this in a negative way, and in her defense, there are probably loads of fake Lady Gaga CD’s floating around Bangkok as well!

Mother Monster is currently touring Asia for her ‘Born This Way Ball’ world tour, where she has unexpectedly caused controversy in every country she has stopped in. What do you think of Gaga’s fake rolex tweet? Do you think she was being serious or joking? Just leave us a comment.

The chorus pleads, “If you love me hardcore, then don’t walk away, It’s a game boy, I don’t wanna play, I just wanna be yours, Like I always say, Never let me go.” We are loving this softer side of Lana, we think this song is gonna be a big hit!

Lana Del Rey ‘Never Let Me Go’: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8Rd69u2wZs

‘Never Let Me Go’ Lyrics:

Hold me in your arms,
Love me like your best friends did,
Promise, I won’t hurt you kid,
Hold me really tight until the stars look big,
Never let me go.

All the world is ours,
Like they say in Scarface kid,
You can push your drugs and I can make it big,
Singing CBGB’s have a real good gig,
Hey you never know.

Cause baby we were born to live fast and die young,
Born to be bad, have fun,
Honey, you and me can be one,
Just believe, come on.

If you love me hardcore, then don’t walk away,
It’s a game boy,
I don’t wanna play,
I just wanna be yours,
Like I always say,
Never let me go.

Boy, we’re in a world war,
Let’s go all the way,
Put your foot to the floor,
Really walk away,
Tell me that you need me more and more everyday,
Never let me go, just stay.

We gonna go far,
I can already taste it kid,
LA’s gonna look real good,
Drive me in your car until the sky gets big,
Never let me go.

Send me to the stars,
Tell me when I get there kid,
I can be your Nancy,
You can be my Sid,
Get into some trouble like our parents did,
Hey, they’ll never know,

Cause baby we were born to be bad,
Move on,
Built to go fast,
Stay strong,
Honey, you and me and no one,
Just believe,
Come on.

If you love me hardcore, then don’t walk away,
It’s a game boy,
I don’t wanna play,
I just wanna be yours,
Like I always say,
Never let me go.

Boy, we’re in a world war,
Let’s go all the way,
Put your foot to the floor,
Really walk away,
Tell me that you need me more and more everyday,
Never let me go, just stay.

I remember when I saw you for the first time,
You were laughing,
Sparking like a new dime,
I came over,
“Hello, can you be mine?”
Can you be mine,
Can you be mine?

If you love me hardcore, then don’t walk away,
It’s a game boy,
I don’t wanna play,
I just wanna be yours,
Like I always say,
Never let me go.

Baby it’s a sweet life,
Sing it like a song,
It’s a short trip,
Only getting one who can count on my love more than anyone,
Never let me go.

If you love me hardcore, then don’t walk away,
It’s a game boy,
I don’t wanna play,
I just wanna be yours,
Like I always say,
Never let me go.

Boy, we’re in a world war,
Let’s go all the way,
Put your foot to the floor,
Really walk away,
Tell me that you need me more and more everyday,
Never let me go, just stay.

Lady Gaga sends off ‘The Simpsons’ finale with a new song!

Lady Gaga made an animated appearance on the season finale of ‘The Simpsons’ last night. Complete with at least 20 outfit changes during the show, Gaga penned and performed a song specifically for the show that honors Little Monsters in make-believe Springfield and beyond. Donning a dress made out of her Grammy awards she sang ‘Lisa Simpson Superstar.’

The song starts out, “When they’re young, all little monsters learn that they are scary. Ugly, stupid, shunned by Cupid, overweight and hairy.” The catchy song is both hilarious and inspiring at the same time.

During the episode, Mother Monster helps Lisa Simpson get her groove back after she is voted the least popular student at the assembly. Gaga senses that she is in distress, so she heads to Springfield for a show, so she can cheer Lisa up. In the end Lisa has to sing in order to become a Little Monster, so she does ‘Lisa Simpson Superstar’ with an assist from Gaga.

To hear the new Gaga song, check out the link in the description! We love that Gaga was a good sport and let the show poke some fun at her- but what do you think? Leave a comment!
