Fast Company yesterday published what it claims to be additional “lost interviews” of the late Steve Jobs, Apple’s former CEO and co-founder. These interviews cover a good deal of the time when Jobs was at Pixar, which is not as well known as his presence at Apple, Inc. was. As you very well may know, Jobs purchased Lucasfilm’s computer graphics division in 1986 and renamed it “Pixar”, which later became well-known for its spectacular animated pictures.

Even though Jobs really enjoyed all the fun he got out of Pixar, NeXT brought him back to Apple after the Cupertino-based corporation had failed to develop a new software architecture back in 1996. Later that year, Jobs sold NeXT to Apple for $400 million in hopes of reviving what he once co-founded. Gil Amelio, who was the CEO of Apple at the time, also hired Jobs in the acquisition as an “iCEO” — the “i” was supposed to be “interim.” Do indulge in a good read of these interviews if you have some time on your hands.
